For us, Salzburg is the city where you can really enjoy yourself even with small children. All sights are within walking distance, the old town is manageable and a feast for the eyes. Pretty cafés and restaurants, which also welcome children, are just waiting to be discovered and in between there are numerous playgrounds and green areas for a little breather in between.
