The Waldhäuslalm has its charm in every season and is the born place to take a break with the whole family. A real insider tip among the excursion destinations in Styria. Because as soon as you turn into the remote lower valley, a wonderfully quiet landscape awaits you, where the world turns a little slower. Curved paths, forests, meadows, isolated an alpine hill and around it the mountains. Simply wonderful.
The alpine pall with playground and animals for the children is absolutely rustic interior with a large tiled stove, where it gets woolly warm, especially on cold days. In summer, the large sun terrace with a view of the large fish pond lures outside. Even fishing is possible there. Your own catch is then freshly prepared to your heart’s content. We love the classic Styrian dishes, such as the typical Graukasbrot or the homemade strudel on the menu.
Meanwhile, the kids on the alpine alm have their hands full with playground and animals. Between the adventure playground and the stable, where rabbits hop through their house and look forward to a petting, the chickens chack happily and goats and horses do not let themselves be disturbed.
From the Waldhäuslalm, you can start several hikes. We haven’t tried it ourselves yet, but it’s at the top of the wish list. For example, the Wild water tour with 2 hours walking time.
