On a guided tour of the castle, you and your family can really get to know the castle and its inhabitants. It’s a great way to learn some fascinating facts about them! The guided tours are really fun and hands-on, and they bring history to life in a way that’s engaging for everyone. We’ve also built additional stations into the tour so that children don’t get bored. Instead of pouring pitch out of the castle like they used to, kids can now try to defend the castle from foreign attackers with water. They can also help to rebuild the castle model or simply ring the huge chapel bell.
In just an hour, you’ll get to explore all the different areas of the castle and learn so much about medieval life! By the end of the tour, you’ll feel like you know this fascinating fortress and its mysterious past inside out.
