Just a stone’s throw from Eisenstadt is Forchtenstein Castle. In addition to the imposing castle, the area also offers a real gourmet restaurant for young and old and just around the corner a reptile zoo.

Directly opposite the castle, another highlight awaits you in the Forchtenstein Reptile Zoo. From parrots to king cobra, from green anaconda to inland taipan – a colorful variety of animals from all over the world. Here you can marvel at native and exotic reptiles, bird species and sea creatures up close. Especially at the weekend, there is the opportunity to be part of the feeding and to be inspired by the expert explanations of the nurses.
